This was a tricky space at basement level. The garden has been designed to feel like part of the kitchen and to look good 365 days of the year. I designed it a composition to be seen from the front like a painting or a theatre set or even a beautiful West End window display. But it also has to be functional. Places to sit and in this case a route up to the communal garden beyond.
